The 10th class marks calculator is an essential free tool for SSC Part 2 students across Pakistan. It calculates your total marks, overall percentage, and BISE letter grade across all 8 subjects of the 10th class board examination. It also helps you determine exactly how many marks you need in remaining subjects to achieve your target grade.
For Punjab BISE boards, the standard total for 10th class (SSC Part 2) is 1100 marks across 8 subjects. This calculator is pre-configured for this standard but also supports custom totals for other boards and subjects.
The 10th class exam is one of the most critical academic milestones in Pakistan's education system. Your 10th class marks directly determine your FSc college admission, scholarship eligibility, and set the foundation for your university merit calculation.
Enter Subject Marks
Input your obtained marks for each of the 8 subjects. The calculator displays each subject's maximum marks (100 or 75 for compulsory subjects).
See Overall Grade Instantly
The calculator shows your total out of 1100, your percentage, and your official BISE letter grade (A1, A, B, C, D, E, or F) in real time.
Check Each Subject Status
Each subject is checked against the individual passing threshold (33%). Subjects below minimum are highlighted so you know where supply risk exists.
Use Required Marks Mode
For exams not yet taken, switch to required marks mode. Enter your target grade, marks already obtained, and total marks of remaining papers to instantly see what you need.

Maximise your marks in each subject with these targeted preparation strategies:
Mathematics (100 marks)
Complete all exercise problems from the BISE-approved textbook. Focus on algebra, geometry, and trigonometry. Practice numerical problems daily — aim for at least 30 problems per day in the final month.
Physics (100 marks)
Master derivations and numerical problem-solving. Draw and label circuit diagrams and wave diagrams accurately. Past papers show that certain chapters (current electricity, optics, waves) appear every year.
Chemistry (100 marks)
Memorise all equations and reactions. Practice balancing equations until it becomes automatic. Organic chemistry and electrochemistry are high-weight chapters in most boards.
Biology (100 marks, science group)
Draw accurate, labelled biological diagrams for every major topic. Revise definitions thoroughly. The objective section is highly predictable — use past papers to identify repeated MCQs.
English (100 marks)
Practice letter writing, essay writing, and paragraph writing under timed conditions. Translation and comprehension require regular practice. Use model answers from past papers to understand expected format.
Urdu (100 marks)
Memorise poetry explanations (تشریح), practice essay writing in proper structure, and revise grammar rules (قواعد). Urdu is a mark-booster for students who prepare it seriously.
Islamiat / Ethics (75 marks)
Cover all the required verses, hadith, and their meanings. Study the questions and answers for important Islamic topics. This subject is very scoring with systematic preparation.
Pakistan Studies (75 marks)
Learn maps and their labelling, study historical events with dates, and cover constitutional/geographical topics. Pakistan Studies rewards factual knowledge.
FSc College Admission (Most Important)
Government colleges in Punjab admit students based almost entirely on 10th class marks. Getting 880+ marks (80%) gives you access to the top colleges. The difference between 79% and 80% can mean the difference between a tier-1 and tier-2 college.
Scholarship Eligibility
PEEF Merit Scholarship, Punjab Educational Endowment Fund, and PM's youth scholarships all require minimum 70-80% in matric. Students with 85%+ have significantly better scholarship prospects.
University Admission Merit
For MBBS and Engineering programs, your matric marks contribute 10-20% of university admission merit. While MDCAT/ECAT scores dominate, your matric result still matters — especially when merit differences are extremely close.
Confidence Foundation for FSc
Students who score 85%+ in matric tend to perform better in FSc because they enter with stronger foundational knowledge and better study habits established during matric preparation.
Neglecting Islamiat and Pakistan Studies
Together these carry 150 marks (13.6% of total). Students who fail to score 80%+ in these relatively straightforward subjects unnecessarily sacrifice their grade.
Leaving numericals incomplete
In Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry, partially completed numericals may earn partial marks. Never leave a numerical entirely blank — write what you know, including formulas.
Not revising the objective section
MCQs are predictable in BISE papers. Students who don't prepare for objective sections miss guaranteed marks. Solve at least 10 years of past objective papers.
Poor essay and letter writing structure
English and Urdu long-answer sections reward structured writing. Students who don't practice proper essay format lose marks on presentation even when content is good.
Skipping diagram practice
Biology, Physics, and Geography require accurate diagrams. Poorly drawn or unlabelled diagrams lose marks. Practice all key diagrams until they are automatic.
Not monitoring individual subject passing
Many students focus only on their total and ignore per-subject passing. Getting below 33% in any single subject means a supply exam — even if your overall percentage is high.
Night Before: Light Revision Only
Don't introduce new topics the night before. Review your formula sheets, key definitions, and important diagrams. Get at least 7-8 hours of sleep — cognitive performance depends on it.
Exam Day: Arrive Early
Arrive at the exam center at least 30 minutes early. Being rushed increases anxiety and reduces performance. Bring your admit card, pen, pencil, ruler, and calculator.
First 5 Minutes: Read the Full Paper
Quickly scan the entire paper before writing. Identify which questions you know best, plan your time allocation, and start with questions you are most confident about.
Objective Section: Attempt All MCQs
Never leave an MCQ blank — there is no negative marking in BISE papers. If unsure, eliminate wrong options and make an educated guess.
Subjective Section: Follow the Word Limit
Write complete, well-structured answers without going significantly over the word limit. Concise, accurate answers score better than padded long ones.
Last 10 Minutes: Review Your Paper
Use the last 10 minutes to check for unanswered questions, calculation errors, and missing key terms. This review step regularly recovers 5-10 lost marks.
The standard total marks for 10th class (SSC Part 2) in Punjab BISE boards is 1100 across 8 subjects.
Students need at least 33% in each subject and 33% overall. The minimum passing score in a 1100-mark exam is 363 marks.
75% falls in the Grade A (Excellent) range (70-79%). To get Grade A1 (Outstanding), you need 80% or above.
Divide your total obtained marks by 1100 and multiply by 100. Example: 880 / 1100 x 100 = 80% = Grade A1.
Yes. Your 10th class percentage is one of the most important factors in FSc college merit lists. Most Punjab colleges use matric percentage for 50-100% of merit calculation.
10th class in Punjab includes: English (100), Urdu (100), Mathematics (100), Physics or Biology (100), Chemistry (100), Islamiat/Ethics (75), Pakistan Studies (75), and Optional Subject (100). Total = 1100 marks.
Multiply your target percentage by 1100 and divide by 100 to find required total marks. For Grade A1 (80%), you need 880 marks. Subtract marks already obtained from this to find what you need in remaining subjects.
For 100-mark subjects: minimum 33 marks. For 75-mark subjects (Islamiat/Pak Studies): minimum 25 marks. Failing any single subject results in a supply exam.
Choose your strongest subject. Popular options include Computer Science, Biology (if not already in core), Home Economics, Fine Arts. The optional subject carries 100 marks and can significantly impact your overall percentage.
Yes. BISE boards offer improvement exams. You can appear again in any subject to improve your marks. Rechecking and re-totalling services are also available immediately after results.
